From the Organizer
The Novice Swim Meet was founded in 2016 by Supersharkz Founders, Marilyn and Mark Chua, the former competitive swimmer and passionate swim coach. They recognized a gap between learning to swim and participating in formal competitions. They envisioned an event that would bridge this gap, providing a supportive environment for children to experience their first swim meet.
The inaugural event, held at a local community pool, attracted 276 young swimmers. Its success led to rapid growth, with participation doubling each year. By 2024, the Novice Swim Meet had become a highly anticipated annual event, drawing almost 2000 aspiring swimmers from across the Malaysia and South East Asia. It is currently the biggest swim meet in Malaysia
